Fly Misting near Marion County

Fly Control for Horse Barns & Equestrian Properties

Flies annoy people and animals. They can irritate horses, and repeated bites can contribute to sores. Horses may also stomp when flies land on their legs. In a confined space such as a horse stall, repeated stomping can affect their legs and hooves.

Akers Pest Control installs fly misting systems for barns, farms, homes, and commercial properties. Our owner owns horses and is involved in the equine community, so we understand how persistent fly pressure can affect horses, handlers, visitors, and daily barn routines. We bring more than 30 years of pest control experience to each property assessment.

How a Pyranha Fly-Misting System Works

An automatic fly misting system distributes treatment through designated barn or facility areas. We use Pyranha systems and customize the service according to the property layout, areas of fly activity, and how the space is used.

SYSTEM COMPONENTS
A Typical System
Several connected components work together to distribute treatment.
Reservoir
Stores the treatment solution used by the system.
Pump and Tubing
Move the solution from the reservoir through connected lines.
Mist Nozzles
Distribute a fine mist in strategically selected areas.
Timer or Controller
Activates programmed treatment cycles at selected times.

Nozzle placement and system settings depend on the barn or facility. During an inspection, we assess the layout, animal areas, property access, and locations where flying-insect activity is concentrated. This helps us determine whether fly misting is appropriate and where the system components should be positioned.

A misting system is one part of a broader fly control plan. Sanitation, manure handling, moisture management, and attention to potential breeding conditions remain important around horse barns and equine facilities.

Fly Misting Options for Marion County Properties

We provide pest control for residential, farm, and commercial customers. Installed systems are intended for recurring treatment in designated areas. Quarterly service plans are also available, but they aren’t required for every property.

For short-term needs, we offer one-time treatment services for upcoming equestrian events. Event treatment planning can consider the event schedule, areas being used, animal and guest activity, and the overall property layout. Barns, paddocks, service areas, and event spaces may have different flying-insect concerns, so we tailor the treatment to the specific need.

Whether you’re considering an automatic system or preparing for an event, a free inspection gives us an opportunity to review the property before recommending service. We don’t assume that the same equipment or treatment approach fits every horse barn, acreage property, home, or business.

NO-CONTRACT APPROACH
Our no-contract approach means you aren’t locked into ongoing pest control service. We guarantee that we’ll address your concerns to your satisfaction, and we’ll return if pests do. The inspection is the first step toward identifying treatment areas and deciding whether an installed Pyranha system or one-time service is the better fit.

Request a Free Fly-Misting Inspection

A FREE INSPECTION gives us an opportunity to evaluate your barn, home, or business, listen to your concerns, and discuss fly-misting installation, quarterly service, or treatment for an upcoming equestrian event.

You’ll receive recommendations based on your property and intended use rather than a one-size-fits-all treatment plan. You can act on those recommendations without committing to ongoing treatment.
